Yong-Hyun Kwon is a Christchurch based painter and printmaker. Originally from Korea, the artist favours smooth gradations in tone and colour to depict the forms in his almost photorealistic handmade prints. The artist's works display a respect for nature and the force of life, while the size and multicolour aspect of his mezzotints show a highly skilled approach to printmaking with almost otherworldly results.
