Michele Bryant: Two Hundred and Thirty-Five Decisions

An exhibition of new relief prints and sculpture by Michele Bryant.
Michele’s work in this exhibition further explores the experience of decision making. The decision to stay or go from a particular location is impacted upon by physical, intellectual and emotional forces. Michele’s relief prints and sculpture work draw together these strands in a way that invites the viewer to reflect upon their own sense of place and belonging.

Nadine Smith: Interface

An exhibition of sculpture and lightbox works with embossing and inclusions.
Nadine’s intriguing exhibition of sculptural works on paper juxtaposes her experiences both as a multi media artist and dialysis nurse. Faced with the transience of life and the importance of technological intervention, Nadine explores the symbiotic ‘interface’ between body and technology. Two dimensional works on paper expand into three dimensions through the use of piercings, protrusions and embossing. Backlit works on paper glow with the soft light of an otherworldly city-scape or microcosmic colonisation. Nadine’s accompanying sculptural armies bring a sense of animation to the exhibition, as they appear to be gathering discarded limbs for further reconstruction.
