Dick Frizzell

Born in Auckland in 1943, Frizzell studied at the Canterbury School of Fine Arts between 1960 and 1963. After a successful career as a commercial artist in advertising, Frizzell has developed a significant position in the fine art world. Drawing on his interests in pop culture and consumerism Frizzell’’s work often has a humorous and iconoclastic edge. His work is represented in the collections of most public galleries in New Zealand.
