Lynn Taylor is a visual artist based on the Otago Peninsula. She graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Education, specialising in teaching art. Later she studied Fine Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, then a Masters from Dunedin School of Art.
Lynn is an artist that works with a multitude of mediums, including print, digital, textile, paint, text and often detailed sections crafted from tarnished copper. The finished works often incorporate textured surfaces, entwined with fragmented layers of historical reference, meaning and stories part told. Her interests and research vary, but the mood and evocative nature of her work remains consistent throughout her practice.
Lynn has exhibited in Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, Japan and the United States. Her works are held within many national and international private collections
